My
story
I am M Abidur Rahman Sakib. I was born in Noakhali, Bangladesh. In October 2023 I moved to Chengdu to study mechanical engineering at Southwest Petroleum University. Bengali is my mother tongue.
My degree is mostly manufacturing, control and mechanics, and my projects follow one thread. I look for the early sign of a fault. In a bearing that sign is a change in vibration. In a cutting tool it is a rise in force and temperature. In a conveyor it is the part that the sensor misses.
Outside class I run AiryRides, a B2B airport-transfer company, and I lead the Aloron Youth Foundation, which I founded in Noakhali in 2021. I want to work as a mechanical engineer, and a European master's is the next step.
How I
work

I report the limits.
My conveyor sorter scored 95.0% as recorded, and I also report 90.0% and 85.0% under stricter definitions, with a 95% confidence interval of 83.5 to 98.6%.

I test on data the model has not seen.
My digital twin is scored on hold-out windows, and I report that its extra features added no significant gain over plain classifiers.
03
I ask what breaks first.
After my production internship I wrote down the question I now ask of every machine: what wears or breaks first, and how would anyone know?
